Work alongside project management team to ensure systems are delivered according to project requirements and specifications. Configure, test, and deploy infrastructure and office equipment following established procedures and practices.

  1. Assist Infrastructure Specialist with server operating system installations and deployments.
  2. Work with business partners and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery through:
    • Development of proper testing procedures
    • Adequate testing of application(s)
    • Troubleshoot and support operating system and application debugging throughout testing phase.
  3. Work with Cyber Security team to ensure the deliverables meet security guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  4. Work with Network Operations staff to connect systems to the corporate network.
  5. Configure, test, and deploy desktop computer equipment including PC's, Thin Clients, phones, printers, scan stations following documented procedures, and predetermined configuration templates.
  6. Perform installation of desktop system service packs, patches, and firmware updates.
  7. Develop procedures for systems configurations, software installations, desktop and printer staging, and other daily tasks.
  8. When necessary, assist Infrastructure and Desktop Operations teams with infrastructure deployment, configuration, and business continuity testing.
  9. Maintain knowledge of managed systems and environment thru self-study and other approved training opportunities.
  10. All other duties as assigned.


An Associate's degree in the MIS or Computer Science field from an accredited college or university. Three years of equivalent experience with installation and configuration of Microsoft Operating Systems experience, in lieu of Associates degree will be accepted.


One year of experience with installation and configuration of Microsoft Operating systems.


Position involves wrist/hand manipulation; good visual acuity for detail work; ability to bend stoop on a regular basis; reach overhead and lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for frequent viewing of computer monitor and review of documents. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license, means of transportation and be able to travel independently and work after normal business hours, when requested by management.


Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must have a strong ability to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must have a strong ability to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.


Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and all compatible PC's, printers, and communications equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. Experience with Windows Servers and/or server virtualization is a plus.
