PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Developing, enhancing and conducting new and existing credit union training programs for
credit union staff and management. Ensure that ongoing employee training reflects
organizational needs and initiatives, and quality service to members. Leads training sessions in
a professional, engaging and interactive manner, exemplifying Core Values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Administers credit union training curriculums by personally coordinating presentations and presenting programs for staff and/or management.
• Assists the Training Department in utilizing appropriate technologies to create and develop training curriculum to support identified needs.
• Assists with identifying training needs, business systems or procedures in support of credit union initiatives.
• Assists with developing online teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
• May facilitate and/or support facilitation of meetings via distance learning.
• Maintains records and tracks results of trainees in conjunction with training events and/or programs. Gather feedback on facilitated courses.
• Conducts training and workshops on systems, products and services, service selling, compliance, and policies and procedures, both in-class and remotely.
• Conduct training classes for all new hires.
• Prepare or coordinate development of procedural manuals used in conjunction with training needs.
• Keeps informed on new developments, methods, and techniques in the training field.
• Assists with webinar setup and delivery
• All other duties as assigned
• Acts as back-up to the Trainer as needed.

EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor's degree in education, or related field is required. Related work experience may substitute for education.

EXPERIENCE

Must have five (5) years of corporate level training experience, financial preferred.

SKILLS

Most important to this position are good communication and human relation skills, time management, organizational abilities, initiative and follow through, and reliability. Must have good training and presentation skills to effectively communicate with staff and managers. Must have proficient personal computer skills and prior experience with Excel, Power Point software and Word processing. Incumbent must be proficient in oral and written communication. Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times. Ability to generate new and unique ideas as solutions to issues and processes. Periodic before and/or after hours and Saturday work.

PHYSICAL

Physical effort is above average. Required to operate a PC which would involve wrist / hand / fingers movement. Ability to lift 25 lbs; ability to bend, stoop and reach overhead. May be required to stand for extending periods of time. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for frequent viewing of computer monitor and review of documents. Communication abilities required by this job includes clarity in speech and hearing for effective staff/member interaction. Position involves mobility in order to perform branch training. Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid Texas Driver's License is necessary.

Personal computer with windows environment, teller cash machine, cash advance machine, 10-key calculator, copy machine, fax, and multi-media presentation training equipment.
