PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Greet members, making them feel welcome, and introduce them to new products and services that address their unique financial needs. Process currency/coin/checks presented to the credit union. Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and cash checks following credit union policies and procedures and verifying proper identification. Guide members on how to use ATM and e-services. Provide back administrative task for credit union staff to ensure timely delivery of services to membership and contacts. Provide back up assistance for new accounts.


EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED is required

EXPERIENCE

Incumbent must have at least 12 months of financial institution operations experience to satisfactorily perform the duties. Experience in a sales and service environment (retail or financial services) is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent viewing of computer monitor and wrist /hand movement is inherent to the job; restriction to work station for extended periods of time. May be required to stand for extended periods of time. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for frequent viewing of computer monitor and review of documents. The ability to lift up to 25 lbs., ability to bend, stoop and reach overhead.

MENTAL REQUIRMENTS

Ability to initiate assistance, make recommendations of appropriate products/services and ask for the business. Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of member service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters

EQUIPMENT SKILLS

Personal computer with windows environment, teller cash machine, copy machine, telephone, calculator, scanner, cash advance terminal and debit card imprinter.
