PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Responsible for the daily administration and overall health of the enterprise server infrastructure and associated applications. Responsible for physical server design and layout, ensuring that it meets business needs and adheres to business continuity requirements.
A high school diploma or GED and Bachelors degree in MIS or Computer Science is required. Six years of information systems experience, in lieu of Bachelor degree will be accepted.
Three (3) years in Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure management and administration
Position involves wrist/hand manipulation; good visual acuity for detail work; ability to bend stoop on a regular basis; reach overhead and lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for frequent viewing of computer monitor and review of documents. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license, means of transportation and be able to travel independently.
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must have a strong ability to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must have a strong ability to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
PC's and printers, telecommunications equipment, calculator, fax and copy machine. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Must have thorough understanding of current Microsoft Server Operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, NTFS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, print server, and Microsoft Server networking.
